Here's Trevor Noah as Margot Robbie in the Big Short bathtub explaining how stocks work.

All of that time spent watching Showtimes' Billions and Adam McKay's The Big Short didn't help us understand what was going on this week with GameStop stocks. Apparently, they were surging and it was because of... Reddit? Yes, a Reddit message board spurred on ordinary investors boosted stocks in the video game retailer after the titans of Wall Street bet the stock prices would fail. That's according to The Washington Post.

Many people on social media were wishing actress Margot Robbie was here to reprise her bathtub role in The Big Short to explain all of this in a digestible way. She's not here, but Trevor Noah is.

The Daily Show host digitally inserted himself into The Big Short and became Robbie sitting in the bathtub, explaining the whole situation for people.

"Basically, there's a group of people on Reddit who don't use the stock market to invest, they use it to gamble," the Robbie-Noah hybrid creation begins. "And, yeah, that's what a lot of serious investors do too, but these guys on Reddit are more honest about it and they love to troll the people who aren't."
