This Is Us Gets Back to Work
Sterling K. Brown and his This Is Us costars spent a lot of intense time together last season (see: uh, well, any episode), but if you’re worried that they’re already sick of each other, maybe this quote will help. “I had a very busy hiatus and was very blessed to be at work pretty much constantly,” says Brown, who stepped away from playing Randall to film Black Panther, The Predator, and Hotel Artemis. “But coming back to This Is Us, it felt like home. The first day I saw Mandy [Moore] and Milo [Ventimiglia] on set, we got to hug it out…. We’ve been off doing our own things, but we get back together and it’s family, right from jump street.” Ahead, see exclusive photos from the set. This Is Us returns to NBC Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. ET.

Is Randall’s family expanding this year through adoption in season 2? “We pick up with [Randall and Susan Kelechi Watson’s Beth] very much in the midst of making that decision — to move forward, not to move forward, how to move forward, if indeed they do,” he answers. “They are not on the same page, I can say that much.”
