Here's how everyone's story ended on Supernatural
For the characters who returned in Supernatural's final season, we've rounded up the ways their stories ended so you can keep track of where all your favorites wound up. (Spoilers ahead for the full series, obviously.)
Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles)
Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki)
After losing his brother, Sam lived a long, happy life. He got married, he had a son — named Dean — and when he died in his old age, he finally got to hug Dean in heaven.
Castiel (Misha Collins)
When Death (Lisa Berry) was about to kill Dean, Castiel (Misha Collins) sacrificed himself. He summoned the Empty by achieving true happiness and telling Dean he loved him. But, with a mention of Cas helping Jack (Alexander Calvert) in the series finale, there's reason to believe he's no longer stuck in the Empty.
Chuck (Rob Benedict)
The Big Man Upstairs was defeated by Sam and Dean when they used Jack to steal all of his power, making Jack the new God and leaving Chuck (Rob Benedict) to live out a meaningless human life.
Jack (Alexander Calvert)
He's God now, y'all!
Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino)
After Chuck resurrected him in the series' penultimate episode, Lucifer lost his life at the hands of his brother, Michael (Jake Abel), when he tried to steal Chuck's death book from the bunker.
Benny (Ty Olsson)
When Castiel and Dean took a trip to purgatory in the final season, Dean asked about his old friend. He was told that Benny (Ty Olsson) had been killed by his own kind.
Kevin Tran (Osric Chau)
The good news? Kevin (Osric Chau) got out of hell. The bad news? We learned that souls from hell can't get into heaven, which meant Kevin was left to roam the earth as a ghost.
Donna Hanscum (Briana Buckmaster)
Donna (Briana Buckmaster) showed up to help the boy's in episode 18, when people were mysteriously disappearing. Unfortunately, God snapped her away too, but we're confident that Jack (Alexander Calvert) brought her back when he repopulated the earth as she was mentioned in the series finale.
Eileen Leahy (Shoshannah Stern)
Eileen (Shoshannah Stern) was another victim of God's rapture, so we're betting that Jack brought her back as well. (Could she be the woman Sam ended up marrying?)
Garth (DJ Qualls)
Garth (DJ Qualls) got a particularly happy ending. Last we saw him, he was living a suburban life with his family, and specifically, dancing with his wife.
Rowena (Ruth Connell)
When Rowena (Ruth Connell) sacrificed herself to save the day early on in the season, we all assumed she was dead. And she was, of course, but she turned her death into an opportunity: She's now the queen of hell.
Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes)
The last we heard of Jody was through Donna, but it seems she and the girls are still happy and hunting.
Ruby (Genevieve Padalecki)
Ruby (Genevieve Padalecki) returned in the final season by way of flashback, though we also got to see her in present day in the Empty. And the Empty is where we left her.
Anael (Danneel Ackles)
Anael (Danneel Ackles) — or Jo — was last seen tricking Sam and Dean when they wanted to find the Occultum. So we're going to assume she's now happily working for Jack ... maybe?
Amara (Emily Swallow)
After realizing that the Winchesters were planning to kill her, Amara (Emily Swallow) agreed to merge with Chuck. And when Jack stole Chuck's powers, she became one with Jack. According to Jack, they exist in harmony.
Charlie (Felicia Day)
Charlie (Felicia Day) was living a happy life with her new girlfriend before the rapture, so let's just hope that she and Stevie are once again making eggs in Jack's new world.
Billie (Lisa Berry)
When Billie (Lisa Berry) betrayed the Winchesters, Dean wounded her with her own scythe. Little did he know, that wound was fatal (meaning he's killed two different Deaths now).
Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver)
You've heard this one before: Apocalypse World Bobby (Jim Beaver) was snapped away as part of God's rapture, so we'll assume he's good now. But, maybe more importantly, the series finale reunited us with our Bobby, who resides in heaven about five miles from Rufus (Steven Williams) and close to John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Mary (Samantha Smith).
Lilith (Anna Grace Barlow)
Played by Anna Grace Barlow this time, Lilith made a final season return. This time she was working for God, but in the end, Michael reduced her to dust.
Michael (Jake Abel)
After killing his brother to help the Winchesters, Michael betrayed Sam and Dean to get back in God's good graces. But it didn't work, and Chuck killed him.
