Peacock is set to release all 10 new episodes featuring many returning characters who will be sharing updates as to what they’ve been up to all these years. But you don't have to be an OG fan to dive into this comedy series, there's a whole new set of Bayside Tigers with adventures of their own to share.

So how will series executive producer Tracey Wigfield and her talented team of writers meld these two generations together? Here's the scoop.

What's it about?

A new flock of students is transferring to Bayside High after Governor Zack Morris implements controversial tax cuts that shut down schools in working-class neighborhoods. The new kids join the established student body, who come from privileged backgrounds like Governor Morris' son Mac (Mitchell Hoog) and Dr. Jessie Spano's son (Belmont Cameli). The glue bringing the new and established students together is principal Toddman (John Michael Higgins), but can he help keep them all out of trouble?

Are original Saved by the Bell cast members involved?

Yes! Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tiffani Thiessen return as the ultimate hot couple, Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski. They're still married and Zack is now the governor of California.

Mario Lopez returns to the role of A.C. Slater, a longtime bachelor who is now the physical education teacher and sports coach at his alma mater.

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren is back as Dr. Jessie Spano, a married mother, author, and guidance counselor.

Lark Voorhies reprises her role as Lisa Turtle, who is now a successful fashionista.

And Ed Alonzo returns to the role of Max, owner of the hottest hangout spot The Max.

What about Mr. Belding and Screech?

Beloved principal Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins) and Zack's high school best friend Samuel 'Screech' Powers (Dustin Diamond) are not part of the revival.

Who are the new characters?

Here are all the new characters at the heart of the revival series:

Mac Morris (Mitchell Hoog) is Zack and Kelly's son, who attends Bayside High and loves pulling pranks, just like his dad.

Jamie Spano (Belmont Cameli) is Jessie's only child, and a Bayside Tiger who loves playing football.

Daisy Jimenez (Haskiri Velazquez) is one of the students forced to transfer to Bayside after her school gets shut down by Governor Morris' controversial budget cuts. She helps her mom look after her younger brother when she's not in school. Daisy has big dreams and Dr. Spano becomes her mentor.

Aisha Garcia (Alycia Pascual-Pena) is Daisy's best friend, also an incoming student who struggles to figure out where she belongs in her new school. She causes a stir when she shows off at football tryouts.

Lexi Haddad-Defabrizio (Josie Totah) is a Bayside's reigning It Girl, a popular cheerleader who also excels in the theater program.

Devante Young (Dexter Darden) is another student who was forced to transfer to Bayside High after his school, Douglas High, is shut down.

Principal Ronald Toddman (John Michael Higgins) is Bayside's new principal who falls victim to pranks by the school’s entitled students.

Will it have the same theme song?

Yes and no. The theme song is the same as the original but a remixed version sung by Lil Yachty.
