RuPaul announced Monday the second season of Drag Race UK will premiere early next year, and further confirmed the United Kingdom's fiercest TV drag pageant has been renewed for season 3.

"Looking forward to better days! I'm happy to announced the triumphant return of RuPaul's Drag Race UK," Mama Ru said in a press statement, adding that Drag Race UK season 3 is currently searching for more queens to compete. "Early in 2021, season 2 will arrive with all the hope, joy, laughter, and glitter you've come to expect from our brilliant queens. We're also currently casting season 3 with the best and brightest Great Britain has to offer."

RuPaul went on to thank fans for embracing "our little show," and expressed his desire to "offer a smile at a time when we can all use it the most."

Perhaps the Drag Race franchise's most prominent international spin-off to date, RuPaul's Drag Race UK crowned its season 1 winner, The Vivienne, in November 2019, following a season filled with superstar guests including Andrew Garfield, Geri Halliwell, Cheryl, Maisie Williams, and Michaela Coel. RuPaul presided over the series' panel, which also included Michelle Visage, Graham Norton, and Alan Carr.

Drag Race UK is one of five existing international versions of the main RuPaul's Drag Race series, with other installments currently crowning queens in Thailand, Chile, Canada (which anointed Priyanka as its first winner earlier this year), and Holland (which is set to reveal its inaugural winner this Thursday). WOW producers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato also recently confirmed to EW that "three or four" more international editions are in the works.

British viewers will be able to tune in to RuPaul's Drag Race UK season 2 on the BBC Three iPlayer, while worldwide fans will able to see the series on the WOW Presents Plus subscription streaming app the same day new episodes debut in Britain.
