With 107 episodes behind her, Mindy Kaling is surprised by how nostalgic she’s already feeling about the 10-episode final season of The Mindy Project that she’s just begun filming. “I’m not that sentimental of a person, but every day I feel increasingly emotional about the show,” Kaling says. So will fans see a different side of Mindy as the series comes to an end? “Not only does Mindy evolve, she becomes the person we always hoped she would become, but she’s still really fun and opinionated,” says Kaling, who is keeping a tight lid on how her recently revealed pregnancy might impact her character’s story line. “We want to end the show with you feeling like this was really a journey.”
