Lizzie McGuire

Last we saw Lizzie (Hilary Duff), she had just become an international pop star in The Lizzie McGuire Movie. Who knows if that entire adventure will stay canon for the revival series? But regardless if she'll retain any kind of fame in her adult life, what can't be erased is the confidence she gained in Italy. She learned how to stand up for herself, face the world, and be herself in ways she never had before during her preteen and teen years on Lizzie McGuire.

Plus, she discovered she had feelings for her BFF Gordo (Adam Lamberg), and they ended up sharing a sweet, nervous, happy kiss on the roof of the hotel at the end of the movie. Lizzie may be engaged to a new, as-yet-to-be-revealed guy who isn't Gordo in the revival, but Lamberg is returning to reprise his role as Lizzie's BFF-turned-love-interest, so maybe their previous relationship isn't as over as Lizzie might think.

Lizzie's BFF Gordo (Adam Lamberg) finally realized how he felt about her during The Lizzie McGuire Movie. After taking the fall for Lizzie sneaking off on during the school trip to Rome and exposing teen pop star Paolo (Yani Gellman) as a fraud, Gordo and Lizzie finally shared their first kiss. Could that lead to something more now that they're entering their 30s in the revival?

Miranda Sanchez

Lalaine wasn't in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, and her absence was explained away by having her character Miranda visit family in Mexico City instead of attending the graduation ceremony that takes place at the beginning of the film. So technically, that's where we last left off with that character chronologically.

But the last time we actually see her is on Lizzie McGuire in the very last episode (that takes place before the movie, even though it aired months after). Miranda and Lizzie grow nostalgic about when they were kids and how they're almost driving and thinking about colleges now. She also stands up to school bully Kate (Ashlie Brillault), making her final scene an empowering one as she joins Lizzie and Gordo in a silly song and dance in the middle of the school courtyard as they proudly embrace their childhood by declaring their love for a popular kid's show. Talk about a loyal best friend!

Matt McGuire

Lizzie's annoying, devious younger brother Matt (Jake Thomas) loved to torment her in his younger years. Much of his time was devoted to finding new ways to frustrate her at home. He even took his operation international in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, convincing their parents to fly to Italy to ruin Lizzie's trip and get her trouble for running around pretending to be an Italian pop star. The last time we saw him, he successfully got Lizzie grounded, but his big plans to sell embarrassing footage of her to the tabloids crashed and burned.

Jo McGuire

Last seen in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Lizzie's mom Jo (Hallie Todd) was learning how to let go and accept that her daughter was growing up after her junior high graduation. That meant letting Lizzie go on her class trip to Rome without any parental supervision. Of course, she still flew to Rome to crash Lizzie's trip before it ended, but after watching her daughter perform at an international awards ceremony, she was proud of who Lizzie was becoming. We can't wait to see how this mother-daughter duo has evolved as Lizzie grew out of her teen years and moved to the big city, away from her parents.

Lizzie's goofy, loving father Sam (Robert Carradine) was right there alongside Jo in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, learning to accept that their daughter is growing up and starting to live her own life. And after crashing Lizzie's trip to see her become an international pop star, he and Jo grounded Lizzie for the rest of the summer. We stan supportive but authoritative parents!

Ethan Craft

Hottie Ethan Craft (Clayton Snyder) may not have a lot going on upstairs, but who cares -- just look at that hair! Plus, he's got a heart of gold, as evidenced by his mentorship of Gordo's flirting techniques on their trip to Rome in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, helping Gordo discover his feelings for BFF Lizzie. As a teen, he was clueless but kind. We wonder how he's changed 15 years later? Hopefully he'll show up in the revival so we can all find out if that hair still looks as dreamy as it did back then.

Kate Sanders

Recently separated from Ethan Craft, school bully Kate softened during the class trip to Rome in The Lizzie McGuire Movie. Against all odds, she finally let up on bullying Lizzie and even started to bond with her former friend while helping cover for her Italian pop star double life adventure. And -- gasp! -- she began eating carbs again, rediscovering the joy of spaghetti thanks to Ethan's prompting. Let's cross our fingers that Kate has completely grown out of her mean girl ways if she shows up in the revival and comes back into Lizzie's orbit.

Melina Bianco

Matt's BFF and partner-in-crime/love of his life Melina (Carly Schroeder) was last seen egging on Matt in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, taking control of his plans to release blackmail videos of Lizzie to Italian tabloids for money. She didn't go to Italy with the rest of the McGuire clan, but since she's so perfect for Matt (and possibly even more evil), let's hope they stayed together throughout the past 15 years. Who else can keep up with Matt's constant devious plans?
