Meet the House of El
A week after announcing the premiere date for Krypton, Syfy has released new first look images that reveal the rest of the long-awaited Superman prequel series' cast.
Executive-produced by David Goyer (The Dark Knight), the series takes place generations before the destruction of the Man of Steel's home planet and follows his grandfather Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) as he's faced with a life and death conflict: save his home planet or let it be destroyed in order to insure his grandson's heroic future. Unfortunately, Krytpon's leadership is in disarray and the House of El is ostracized. (Honestly, the Els have never really had it easy on Krypton.)
In the adjacent photo, we're introduced to another one of Superman's ancestor's, Val-El (Ian McElhinney), Seg's grandfather and one of Krypton's greatest scientists who was executed for treason. However, after a 14-year absence, he retruns to become a pivotal player in defeating the threat against Krypton.

Hello, Superman's grandfather
Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) stands before the ruthless and cunning politician Daron-Vex (Elliot Cowan) and brilliant lawmaker Nyssa-Vex (Wallis Day), both of whom are part of Kandor's ruling class.

Aaron Pierre (Tennison) as Dev-Em
Bound to Lyta-Zod, Dev-Em is a Sagitari who has always relished his role as a protector of Kandor. He admires Jayna as a perfect template of a warrior, but he's loved Lyta since childhood, and his jealousy of Seg could destroy everything.
Dev-Em is actually a character from the comics whose background has changed multiple times. Sometimes he's a Kryptonian juvenile delinquent and other times, he's from Krypton's neighboring planet Daxam (which got a lot of mainstream play in Supergirl season 2).

Rasmus Hardiker as Kem and Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El
Kem, a lifelong rankless denizen and con artist, and Seg have been inseperable since they met as kids. Kem's irreverent and often off-color sense of humor belies a deep compassion for the people of the Rankless.
