Kevin Hart, meet Blade.

A month after debuting his new standup special on Netflix, the comedian has signed on to make a dramatic turn in the streamer's limited event series True Story. Written and executive produced by Narcos boss Eric Newman, Hart will star opposite Wesley Snipes, with the duo playing brothers, Kid and Carlton.

Here's the full logline: A tour stop in Kid’s hometown of Philadelphia becomes a matter of life and death for one of the world's most famous comedians when the consequences of a lost evening with his wayward older brother threaten to destroy everything he’s built.

“I’ve never been more excited about an acting project in my career," Hart, who will also serve as an executive producer, said in a statement. "I’ve always been a fan of Wesley Snipes and working with him is mind-blowing. Having HartBeat Productions at the helm and working alongside Eric Newman as a partner and creative arm has been unreal, nobody is ready for what this show is going to be."

Hart is currently filming the action-comedy The Man from Toronto with Snipes' White Men Can't Jump running mate Woody Harrelson, while Snipes will next be seen opposite Eddie Murphy in Coming 2 America.
