The first trailer for Cobra Kai season 3 features the return of two Karate Kid icons, as well as a first look at Miguel's recovery.

"The only way to end this is by working together." Of all the questions raised in the first trailer for Cobra Kai season 3 (premiering next month on Netflix), this may be the biggest: Are Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) actually going to join forces to stop Kreese (Martin Kove)? The two-minute tease also confirms a pair of major appearances from the Karate Kid universe: Daniel's Part II nemesis, Chozen (Yuji Okumoto), and his love interest, Kumiko (Tamlyn Tomita).

When last we left the former Karate Kid rivals in the season 2 finale, their tentative truce was destroyed by the epic high school brawl that left Sam (Mary Mouser) scarred and Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) in a coma. In the new trailer, Daniel and Johnny are back on speaking terms: We see them dispatching some thugs in some kind of garage fight, and discussing the finer points of Sylvester Stallone's oeuvre with Daniel's wife Amanda (Courtney Henggeler). ("Tango and Cash were narcotics detectives," Johnny tells her, because of course Johnny is up on the Tango & Cash canon.)

Other big revelations from the trailer: Kyler (Joe Seo) is back to torment Hawk (Jacob Bertrand)! Robby (Tanner Buchanan) is locked up! And Miguel... is awake, and being nursed back to health by his old sensei, Johnny Lawrence! (Wait, is he making Miguel do sit ups... with a beer keg?) There's still no sign of Elisabeth Shue's Ali... but hey, this is only the first trailer. A fan can hope.
