Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) is not backing down this time.

Agent Keen has been hunting for answers ever since Raymond Reddington (James Spader) walked into her life on The Blacklist, but this time she's not settling for anything less than the complete truth. In an exclusive clip of Friday's episode, "Katarina Rostova: Conclusion," the pair come face-to-face for the first time since Liz took Dom (Ron Raines) from Red, and her allegiance to Katarina (Laila Robins) was revealed. Watch the tense encounter above.

This honest exchange has been a long time coming. Liz decided to choose her mother, superspy Katarina Rostova, during last season's animated season finale, but Reddington is just finding out. Understandably, she has questions that he refuses to answer; many of them coming up in the exchange: what is the Sikorsky Archive, who is N-13, where does the Townsend Directive fit in, and whatever secrets Red has with Liz's own grandfather, Dom. Plus, we still don't know who Raymond Reddington actually is, although the list of who he isn't, which includes Liz's own father, has grown over the last 8 seasons.

Finding Katarina has given Liz someone who is entirely on her side when it comes to Red. The Blacklist bosses called Katarina a linchpin for Liz. "For Liz to finally have somebody that understands what that's like is pivotal," executive producer Jon Bokenkamp explained. "Her mother and the story that we're telling with her mother will define who Liz becomes as we move forward." With that in mind, it's not surprising that Liz makes it clear she won't allow her mother to be harmed because, in addition to Katarina being family, she's also Liz's most powerful ally in this conflict.

The Blacklist airs Fridays at 8pm ET on NBC.
