HOW/WHEN & WHERE TO WATCH: 8:30 p.m. on NBC

Series Finale
It’s time to bid farewell to TV’s most ethical and delightful comedy — and, sure, to yell “Bortles!” one last time. The Soul Squad — led by reforming lowlife Eleanor (Kristen Bell) — will wrap up four seasons of afterlife adventures with a one-hour series finale (followed by a Seth Meyers-hosted half-hour special). “It’s completion of our journeys in a way that I find satisfying, hopeful, and goes beyond our conventional understanding of storytelling,” William Jackson Harper told EW. As Bell puts it: “You will finally see what we owe to each other.” —Dan Snierson
