Adam Driver had one hell of a decade, ascending from a small supporting role in a Noah Baumbach film at the start (2012’s Frances Ha) to an Oscar-nominated leading role in Baumbach’s Marriage Story by its end. (Also, you know, Star Wars and all that.) But he’s kicking off 2020 in a much less glamorous role: Studio 8H janitor.

In a new Saturday Night Live promo for Driver’s upcoming third turn as host, the actor excitedly heads to SNL‘s longtime 30 Rockefeller Plaza residence, only to discover the cast and crew still haven’t done their post-Christmas cleaning — even the tree is still there. That’s when a janitor wheels in a trash can and tells a protesting Driver to get to work.

“I mean, I’ll clean some of it,” Driver says. “Start with the tree,” the janitor suggests. And so he does, hoisting the tree above his head and carrying it off the stage. (Have you heard Kylo Ren is shredded?)

Driver is hosting this week’s SNL with musical guest Halsey, airing at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC. You can watch the full promo above; you’ll want to see where that tree ends up.
