Party of Five

HOW/WHEN & WHERE TO WATCH: 9 p.m. on Freeform

Series Debut
This reboot of the beloved '90s drama comes with a very 2020 twist: deportation. Sadly for the Acosta family, that's the impetus of this Party of Five retelling. The new series follows the Acosta siblings, Emilio (Brandon Larracuente), Lucia (Emily Tosta), Beto (Niko Guardado), Valentina (Elle Paris Legaspi), and baby Rafa, as they struggle to keep their lives and family together after their parents are deported. The pilot introduces the family and their, at times, conflicting personalities and approaches to suddenly finding themselves parentless. Seeing two loving parents senselessly ripped from their kids' lives will leave you teary-eyed, maybe even angry by episode's end. It may not sound like much of a party, but it's still an entertaining ride. —Ruth Kinane

Criminal Minds

HOW/WHEN & WHERE TO WATCH: 9 p.m. on CBS

Season Premiere
The long-running FBI procedural kicks off its 15th and final season with a two-hour episode that finds the BAU team investigating an UnSub that's eerily similar to The Chameleon, a.k.a. Everett Lynch, who nearly killed Rossi (Joe Mantegna) last season but then disappeared. With one of the team members in the hospital, the rest of the BAU searches for Lynch and his daughter, and Spencer (Matthew Gray Gubler) visits his mother (Jane Lynch), who's experiencing a period of clarity. But will it bring either of them any glee? —Gerrad Hall
