Find out how much Han Solo's original blaster is worth in Pawn Stars sneak peek
A long time ago in a pawn shop far, far away…
Actually, it wasn’t that long ago, and we’re not quite sure if London qualifies as “far, far away.” But regardless, a new Star Wars-themed episode of Pawn Stars (titled “May the Pawn Be With You”) is airing tonight, and it sees master pawnbroker Rick Harrison heading to the U.K. capital to check out a jaw-dropping collection of memorabilia. In the exclusive clip above, Rick gets a look at one of the collection’s crown jewels: Han Solo’s blaster from the original 1977 film.
“This is the holy grail of Star Wars,” Harrison says in the clip as he and authenticator Steve Grad gaze at the iconic prop; Grad calls it a “close second” to the Millennium Falcon itself.
“Whenever you think of Han Solo, you think of the gun. It’s always at his side,” Grad notes, before determining the item to potentially be worth a hefty $1 million. Not bad for something that originally cost “two or three hundred” to make.
You’ll have to tune in to the History series (which is produced by ITV America’s Leftfield Pictures) to see if Harrison makes the buy, but we can tease that the other items featured in the episode include George Lucas’ handwritten script for the original Star Wars. And Harrison thought the gun was the holy grail.
“May the Pawn Be With You” premieres tonight at 10 p.m. ET on History. You can check out the full clip above.
