There’s been no shortage of iconic scenes across Game of Thrones‘ storied run–Ned Stark’s execution, the Red Wedding, “WHERE ARE MY DRAGONS?” Ask the cast for some of their favorite scenes, though, and they tend to favor less grandiose moments that may not immediately spring to viewers’ minds.
PeopleTV asked the cast for their picks during a special look back ahead of the final season premiere. In a clip (see above) from the special, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) recalls the moment in the pilot when Arya (Maisie Williams) flicks a spoonful of pigeon pie at her sister’s face. “I remember overacting the hell out of that scene,” Turner says with a laugh.
Iain Glen, who plays Ser Jorah Mormont, pointed to the loyal knight’s travels with Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) in season 5, as well as all of his time spent with Daenerys (Emilia Clarke).
“Daenerys, and being by her side, has always been kind of my strongest association,” Glen said. Reflecting on the show’s earlier seasons, he noted, “[Jorah and Daenerys] lived a very peripatetic existence, were always on the move. And that was a lovely thing. So I enjoyed all the various locations.”
Game of Thrones returns for its final season on April 14.
