“The walls are closing in on all sides. We are fighting to survive.”

Those are the ominous words of John Dutton, played by the how-does-he-age-so-well Kevin Costner, in the newest season of Yellowstone. In this official trailer for the drama’s June 19 return to cable, the stakes are abundantly clear: war is coming, Dutton says, in the form of self-serving foes who want to take over his family’s mammoth ranch.

“All the angels are gone,” says Dutton. “There’s only devils left.”

The first season of the drama from Taylor Sheridan (Wind River, Hell or High Water)and John Linson averaged 5.1 million viewers, making it 2018’s most-watched new cable series. Besides Costner, the series stars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White and Gil Birmingham.

Season 2 of Yellowstone premieres June 19 at 10 p.m. ET on Paramount.
