Abby’s

HOW/WHEN & WHERE TO WATCH: 9:30 p.m. on NBC
Series Debut

A throwback to The Single Guy, Union Square, and other NBC shows about “friends (but not Friends) hanging out,” Abby’s stars Natalie Morales (Parks and Recreation) as a woman who runs a bar in her backyard. Her social ecosystem — featuring a seating hierarchy and stable of regulars (including The Middle’s Neil Flynn) — is upset by a rule-bound new landlord, Bill (Nelson Franklin). The strong cast deserves better material, but Abby’s was created by Superstore co-EP Josh Malmuth. That show developed into a gem, so I’ll hang around here for a few more rounds. Grade: B — Kristen Baldwin

HOW/WHEN & WHERE TO WATCH: 10 p.m. on Comedy Central
Series finale

The final episode of the stoner sensation is upon us and we are about as ready to say goodbye to this inimitable duo as Ilana (Ilana Glazer) is prepared to part ways with Abbi (Abbi Jacobson) as she heads off to Colorado. There’s bound to be tears, but we’re sure they’ll be matched with just as many laughs as we bid the ladies the fondest of farewells.
