It’s not every day that Veep fans get to see bloopers from the Emmy-winning comedy. “We’ve never posted any bloopers, ever,” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Thursday. But, hey, HBO is approaching the final season, so why the heck not now?

Dreyfus brought a never-before-seen blooper reel from that time in season 6 when Selina feeds Gary a meal that she “cooked” (heavy on the air quotes) after he has a heart attack.

“It’s unheard of for Selina Meyer to ever cook or do anything like that,” the actress prefaces. “And we could not get through it because I was so close to him and the food was rancid that I gave him, literally rancid.”

She’s right about that as the clip shows the two cracking up over Hale acting out how terrible the dish is. “I’m sitting next to a circus act,” Dreyfus exclaims during one take.

“He is so much fun to work with,” she told Fallon. “I mean, he’s impossible to work with. He’s so funny and the two of us… We’ve known each other now a really long time so we are constantly losing our s— on the show and laughing. I think we enjoy the material more than the audience.”

EW also commemorated the seventh and final season of Veep, premiering on HBO this March 31, with 12 covers of the cast — including one of Dreyfus and Hale sharing the spotlight as usual. Well, Dreyfus taking the spotlight and Hale standing behind her with purse in tow.
