Luke Perry hospitalized after reportedly suffering stroke
- TV Show
Luke Perry — the former star of the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise who currently plays Fred Andrews on Riverdale — was hospitalized Wednesday after reportedly suffering a “massive” stroke.
According to TMZ, paramedics were called to Perry’s home in Sherman Oaks, California, at around 9:40 a.m. A representative for Perry told EW that the actor is “currently under observation at the hospital” but did not give other details on his condition.
The incident happened on the same day that Fox revealed it would air a 90210 limited series that will premiere this summer. Perry was not part of the announcement, but producers are leaving the door open for him and Shannen Doherty to join the six-episode series. Former 90210 stars Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, and Tori Spelling have all signed on to the project.
