Here’s a friend request/TV series we happily accept!

On Tuesday, Facebook announced that Zac Efron and Anna Kendrick are set to star in a new animated comedy series, Human Discoveries. Created by Chris Bruno and David Howard Lee, the show will debut later this year on Facebook Watch, Facebook’s video destination.

The original series heads back to the Stone Ages to hang with a group of friends living at the dawn of human civilization who are the first to discover necessities like fire and the wheel. More interestingly, they also came across some of humanity’s best and worst innovations, including art, alcohol, fashion, racism, small talk — and, to their general confusion, monogamy. The series also stars Lamorne Morris, Jillian Bell, Paul Scheer and Lisa Kudrow.

Efron will be seen next as serial killer Ted Bundy in the film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, which is being released via Netflix. Kendrick starred alongside Blake Lively in last year’s A Simple Favor and will lead the upcoming holiday film Noelle, which is expected to premiere on Disney’s streaming service.
