The Bachelor deleted scene: Kirpa's chin injury, explained!
It was the most dramatic Band Aid… ever! On Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor, dental hygienist Kirpa sported a bandage on her chin all night — and no one explained why! Twitter was up in arms over the mystery (someone even started a “Kirpa’s Chin” account, because the internet), and it wasn’t until after the episode aired that ABC posted a deleted scene that gave Bachelor Nation all the answers we craved.
“I was trying to be basic and take a picture in front of the ocean at the start of the sunset,” explains Kirpa in the video. “But it had rained, and I forgot about that.” As she soon learned, water and rocks can be quite hazardous when combined, and that attempted selfie moment resulted in a sprained wrist and five stitches in her chin. “Thailand f—ed me up!” Kirpa says with a laugh. “But not in a good way.”
As irritating as it is that this scene wasn’t included in last night’s episode — it turns out, Kirpa is a complete delight and she needs more screen time! — I’m still grateful to Team Bachelor for solving the #chingate mystery once and for all.
The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
