Ghosted has been ghosted.

Fox has canceled the once-promising freshman comedy starring Adam Scott and Craig Robinson, EW confirmed on Thursday. Ghosted centered on Stanford-professor-turned-bookstore employee Max (Scott) and a LAPD detective-turned-mall cop Leroy (Robinson), both of whom were recruited by a secret government organization to investigate paranomal activity.

The network ordered six more episodes of the show in November, bringing the season order to 16. The show exited the air in January, and was expected to return in the spring after being retooled: The Office executive producer Paul Lieberstein was tapped take the showrunner reins from executive producer Kevin Etten, who exited the series.

But the overhaul took longer than expected, and Fox returned Brooklyn Nine-Nine to the schedule in its place. Ghosted returned earlier this month, with the final episode airing this past Sunday.

Ghosted also starred Ally Walker, Amber Stevens West, and Adeel Akhtar.
