It’s been a while since Simpsons creator Matt Groening introduced you to a bold new animated world. It was 1999, to be exact, with the launch of Futurama. But instead of the future, this time he’s whisking you into the past. Introducing Disenchantment, a Netflix fantasy comedy that starts streaming on Aug. 17.

The series takes place in the medieval kingdom Dreamland and follows a hard-boozing princess named Bean (Abbi Jacobson), her elf friend Elfo (Nat Faxon), and her personal demon Luci (Eric Andre). The trio will embark on adventures and do battle with “ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.” Here, in the first teaser for Disenchantment, you can see Bean not exactly feeling the love from her father and king.

Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of the show, which also features John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery in its voice cast.
