“Have you ever wanted to take control and create your own world?” More specifically, have you ever wished you could take the reigns of Westworld? A new mobile game based on the HBO sci-fi drama series puts you in control of the android theme park so that you, too, can “play God.”

The game, also titled Westworld, hails from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Kilter Films, the production company of Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan. The narrative was also penned by series writers and includes familiar characters like Delores (Evan Rachel Wood), Maeve (Thandie Newton), and Bernard (Jeffrey Wright).

Users play as a newly hired Delos employee who’s been granted access to the Delos Park Training Simulation. You’re in charge of building Westworld from the ground up, tweaking hosts, and fulfilling the guests’ desires. So far, the game only incorporates elements from season 1 of Westworld, but season 2 upgrades will be available after they’ve appeared on the show (as to avoid spoiling the narrative).

Nolan and Joy took inspiration from video games, like BioShock and Red Dead Redemption, so a move towards Westworld-themed games seems natural. The mobile game news also follows HBO’s announcement of Westworld: The Maze, a “choose your own adventure” game for Alexa-enabled devices.

Westworld mobile is available now via the App Store and Google Play. Watch the trailer above.

HBO’s ambitious science-fiction thriller Westworld is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton novel of the same name. The series developed by Jonathan Nolan stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, and more top names.
