Legend has it if you repeat the phrase “Miss Vanjie” three times while contouring your cheeks, the first queen eliminated from RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 will appear over your shoulder in the reflection of your bathroom mirror. Though Vanessa Vanjie Mateo’s iconic exit marked the premature competitive demise of a soon-to-be-viral superstar, the instant catchphrase still haunts her drag sisters long after the cameras stopped rolling. And EW’s exclusive preview of Thursday’s season 10 reunion sees the queens kiki-ing over the inescapable bit.

She might’ve been this season’s first queen to bite the glitter, but the legacy of Miss Vanjie’s iconic exit from the reality competition series — which saw her shuffling backwards down the runway while chanting her own name — might have taken the cake as the most memorable moment from Drag Race‘s most recent installment. The moment inspired countless internet memes, was referenced by Vanjie’s season 10 sisters in nearly every subsequent episode after her elimination, and even reduced RuPaul himself to a fit of laughter at its mere mention.

RuPaul’s Drag Race trends across these United States and around the world… but one season 10 queen was a viral sensation,” Mama Ru says of Mateo in the clip above, before introducing a montage of this year’s best Vanjie moments.

“What were you thinking when you were exiting?” Ru asks Mateo, who indicates the moment was inspired by pure shock: “Truth be told, girl, in my head I was not going to go home so I didn’t prepare no message to leave.”

When Ru presses further and asks Mateo if she’d ever done anything like that before, the 26-year-old Tampa native tells her “Vanjie is a multi-purpose thing” and that it can be used “for whatever.”

Miz Cracker, season 10’s fifth-place finisher, agrees, adding that it has evolved to become “like gay ‘aloha’ now” for the LGBT community, almost “like ‘hello,’ ‘goodbye,’ and ‘thank you'” at the same time.

Ahead of the show’s June 28 finale, you can bid “Miss Vanjie” to the full cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 when the reunion airs this Thursday at 8:00 p.m. ET on VH1. To view the first act of the reunion episode, head to at 12:00 p.m. ET today.
