Emilia Clarke wrote a heartfelt goodbye to Game of Thrones
Emilia Clarke is beginning to say goodbye to Game of Thrones. The Daenerys Targaryen star penned a moving farewell on Instagram on Sunday.
“Hopped on a boat to an island to say goodbye to the land that has been my home away from home for almost a decade,” Clarke wrote, referring to GoT‘s production hub in Northern Ireland. “It’s been a trip @gameofthrones thank you for the life I never dreamed I’d be able to live and the family I’ll never stop missing #?#lastseasonitis.”
Clarke was previously spotted attending Beyonce and Jay-Z’s OTR II Tour in London on Friday.
One shouldn’t assume from Clarke’s message, by and by, that Clarke has completed filming yet. Production is still underway on the HBO hit’s final six episodes and will likely wrap sometime next month or in early August. Expect actors to start saying their goodbyes, however, as they finish off their characters. Unlike other shows, GoT episodes are filmed out of order, so which actors finish first doesn’t give any clues as to how far they make it into the season.
Game of Thrones returns in 2019.
