Queer Eye star Tom Jackson has tied the knot (again)!
The subject of the first episode of the Netflix reboot announced Wednesday that he and on-again, off-again partner Abby Parr officially tied the knot after reuniting in front of the show’s cameras.
Abby and I got married! Gatlinburg, Tennessee at Chapel at the Park. Just the two of us,” Jackson tweeted about the March 27 ceremony, which he says included “an elopement wedding” followed by a local “honeymoon in the mountains!”
On the first episode of the reality show’s Netflix reboot, the Fab Five — Bobby Berk, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Tan France and Karamo Brown — made over not only 58-year-old Jackson’s bachelor pad, but also his love life. After settling into his new wardrobe, Jackson mustered the confidence to ask Parr, his then ex-wife, on a date.
The couple’s second crack at marriage kicked off with a small cake and the lighting of a unity candle. “I was excited and happy! I was marrying the love of my life. Tom looked happy and excited as I walked down the aisle – I was looking at him looking at me and he was smiling as I walked down the aisle!” the bride told Us Weekly at the elopement ceremony. “Tom was grinning from ear to ear!”
Jackson initially announced the couple’s separation in a February tweet, though he later revealed their reconciliation and subsequent engagement in March.
“Thomas and I, we have never really been apart,” Parr continued. “We have been best friends for 12 years and we have known each other for 12 years. We have always loved each other, that never stopped, whether we were together or not.”
The publication reports that the Fab Five were not in attendance, but perhaps for good reason, as Netflix is currently readying new episodes of the revamped program for an expected debut in the near future.
