Kerry Washington and Jimmy Fallon play Mad Lib Theater as a wacky parent-teacher conference
Kerry Washington is a talented actress, having lead Scandal for seven seasons while also starring in blockbuster movies like Django Unchained. Washington’s thespian skills really got put to the test during Wednesday night’s episode of The Tonight Show, when host Jimmy Fallon drafted her into a game of Mad Lib Theater. Fallon asked her a bunch of prompts (“What would you say if you saw a monster under your bed?”), and then used her answers (“Not today, Satan!”) to construct a scene for them both to add out. It ended up playing a parent-teacher conference, with Fallon as a nervous father coming into Washington’s school office.
As it turned out, Fallon ended up playing a parent named Mr. Spectacularicious, while Washington took on the role of Ms. Fluffy Girl, discussing his son Little Coconut. The problem, fueled by Washington’s answers, is that Little Coconut is getting a D in “Going to the Dentist” class at Lady Gaga Elementary School. Fallon’s initial response was to keep shouting “not today, Satan!” Eventually he agreed to spend more time with Little Coconut reading books like Harry Potter and the Ladies of the Night. Then Washington said that Little Coconut did love to lead his classmates in the song “Lily Pads on the Bus,” so the two of them tried to make up some lyrics for it.
“The lily pads on the bus go round and round, round and round, all through the Olive Garden,” is what they decided on.
