The spousal exchange show is coming back!

CMT announced Thursday that a revival of the hit docuseries Wife Swap is in the works. Capitalizing on these current divided times, the country music and lifestyle channel is bringing back the show that originally ran on ABC from 2004-2010 and follows two families from different walks of life as they trade spouses and try to learn to embrace their differences to come together and find common ground.

The one-hour, 10-episode series will delve into politics, classism, gender, and race with the goal of showcasing how we can overcome our differences and get along. During each switcheroo, the new spouses must initially live by the same rules and lifestyle of the partner being replaced. Later, they have the opportunity to establish their own rules. At episode’s end, the two couples meet for the first time and discuss what they’ve learned from the swap and what changes and new rules will be implemented once they return home, if any.

Production for the CMT reboot will begin soon, though no premiere date has been set yet.
