Now that Scandal‘s wrapping, Jeff Perry has lined up a new gig on CBS All Access. He will join an all-star cast of actors like John Carroll Lynch (The Walking Dead), Chris Denham (Billions), and Leslie Odom Jr. (Smash), in a new mystery series called $1.

With production set to begin later this month in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the drama set in post-recession America will focus on how a one-dollar bill in a small rust belt town manages to connect a group of people in a multiple murder. Perry, best known for playing Cyrus Beene on ABC’s Scandal, will play a sickly con man named Charles while journeyman actor Lynch will portray Bud Carl, the owner of a family business.

Other actors in the series include Nathaniel Martello-White (Netflix miniseries Collateral) as a private investigator; Philip Ettinger (Indignation) as a high school dropout who works for Bud Carl; Denham as the police chief; Kirrilee Berger (K.C. Undercover) as the daughter of the richest man in town; Gracie Lawrence (The Good Wife) as her best friend; Odom Jr. as a charismatic new guy in town; and country singer Sturgill Simpson as a down and out guy who sells stolen goods.

The series is produced by CBS TV Studios, Anonymous Content, and Craig Zobel (The Leftovers), who will executive produce and direct all the episodes.
