You betta werk for that democracy eleganza, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, because RuPaul’s Drag Race is getting more political than ever before.

The first 10 minutes from Thursday’s edition of the Emmy-winning reality competition series (above) sees the Democratic Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives sashay her way into the storied Werk Room, where she stresses the importance of American citizens participating in their government — which riles up some of the All Stars 3 competitors.

“Nancy Pelosi? I’m dying! I just want to say thank you to her, I want to hug her, I want to be like, ‘Kick their ass!'” Morgan McMichaels — who returned to the competition last week during the same episode that saw fan favorite BenDeLaCreme eliminate herself — says of Pelosi’s appearance in a confessional. “[She’s] spearheading the way through!”

And, after Pelosi descends the show’s iconic staircase hand-in-hand with RuPaul, it seems that the feeling of infatuation is mutual.

“When I got the invitation to visit the Werk Room, I couldn’t resist,” Pelosi tells the queens shortly after meeting them. “I’m honored to be here. You’re an inspiration, I hope you know, because you really know your power. It’s about taking pride, and that’s what you do: Take pride in yourselves and you know your power.”

She continues: “Voting is everything. People sacrifice so much in our country for people to have the right to vote. It’s a blessing. But, we have to use it. If you don’t vote, you don’t count, and you count.”

Pelosi’s presence ultimately moves Trixie Mattel to tears.

“Every time you get in drag, you’re making a political statement,” Trixie says. “We live in a world where a high-power politician will walk into the Werk Room. That makes me feel hopeful.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on VH1. Watch the first 10 minutes of the upcoming episode above, and be sure to tune in to Drag Race‘s season 10 premiere on March 22.
