Jimmy Kimmel asks hair stylists about Trump's bald spot: 'It's a bad weave'
President Trump had a hair-raising situation when he boarded Air Force One last Friday when his apparent hairpiece came undone to reveal a bald spot. This moment practically wrote Jimmy Kimmel‘s show for him.
While the late-night host of Jimmy Kimmel Live had his fun lampooning what Trump has long denied to be a toupee, Kimmel also decided to get a professional’s opinion on the matter. “It’s a bad weave,” one hair stylist remarked as Kimmel’s team brought video of Trump’s windy day around to various salons and barbershops.
“Someone did not glue that down tight enough,” another said.
“I don’t wear a toupee. It’s my hair,” Trump had insisted at a conference in 2015. “It’s my hair! I swear.” He even asked a woman to come up on stage and feel it for herself. Mary Margaret Bannister, the woman in question, later said she only saw the roots and didn’t pull the hair.
Based on recent video of Trump’s bad hair day, the evidence seems to be stacked against him.
“It looks like the backside of a dog,” another stylist told Kimmel’s crew.
Elsewhere on the late-night TV circuit, Seth Meyers dedicated a whole “Let’s Get Petty” segment on Late Night to Trump’s hair.
“Well, I guess there’s one draft you couldn’t dodge,” Meyers joked. “And you thought CNN was giving you bad coverage,” he added.
“I’m so sorry, that video should come with a warning saying these sort of images would be disturbing for younger viewers,” James Corden said while dissecting the footage on The Late Late Show. “I would like to see it again.”
“Even his hair has been lying to us,” he added. “It looks like he’s flying with an emotional support animal. No wonder this president hates the environment, the wind humiliates him on a daily basis.”
