Survivor: Ghost Island contestants size each other up
“I don’t particularly like this guy. He’s also a bonehead. He came out to Fiji for Survivor without any sandals. Who does that?” That’s just one of the observations one contestant from the upcoming Survivor: Ghost Island made about another player.
Of course, that observation was made before the two people were even allowed to speak to one another. But that doesn’t matter because the game of Survivor is already on at that point, beginning well before it officially begins. Impressions made during the pre-game process — even though no verbal communication between contestants is allowed — is vital as players feel each other out in terms of whom they may want to work with… or against.
With that in mind, we asked the new cast to share their pre-game thoughts about the competition. That allowed for lots of general reactions (“I don’t know if there’s a ton of smart people here,” was one person’s take, while another opined that “I love beautiful women”) as well as specific examples of people who are showing up on a lot of radars.
Watch the video above to get a feel on what the players were thinking about each other right before the game started, and then we’ll see how much of that plays out when they finally hit the beach on Feb. 28 on CBS.
