Outlander season 4: What's been shot so far
Sorry Outlander stars: If you leave the comfort of Cumbernauld Studios in Scotland, someone’s gonna want to take your picture. And get your autograph. And film you looking colder than the dickens.
Since production resumed in October on the show’s fourth season, a great deal of scenes have occurred on location — giving fans plenty of opportunities to steal a shot or two of Caitriona Balfe taking a lunch break or Richard Rankin looking cuddle-worthy in a knit hat. A few lucky fans have even managed to sneak a few videos of important characters — note the native Americans — and key sets from the season based on Diana Gabaldon’s fourth book, Drums of Autumn.
No, there’s no good news yet about a fifth and sixth season order from Starz, but maybe a few behind-the-scenes photos will fill the void? In case you aren’t living on Twitter, here’s a sampling of what’s been shot so far around Outlander‘s home base near Glasgow, Scotland.
It doesn’t get any better (or sadder?) than this shot of a very frozen Sam Heughan, courtesy of Balfe.
Outlander season 4 is expected to bow later this fall on Starz.
Diana Gabaldon's genre-bending time-travel novels come to life in the Starz series.
