Kreizler makes his suggestions to Roosevelt, who's caught between a rock and a hard place
“I need something from you.”
We hear Dr. Laszlo Kreizler (Daniel Brühl) say this to police commissioner Teddy Roosevelt (Brian Geraghty) in Monday’s episode of the new TNT drama The Alienist, an exclusive clip from which you can watch above. The stakes are already getting higher, and Kreizler has a complicated, risky plan he wants to put in motion to find out who is killing boy prostitutes, and which Roosevelt is reluctant to greenlight. “It’s two more boys of the lower classes who have recently been murdered,” Kreizler reminds after encountering pushback. “Although you … seem to be more concerned with covering up the crimes than finding the perpetrator.”
In Monday’s episode, the investigation heats up as Sara (Dakota Fanning) gets her hands on a clue and Kreizler tries to connect the evidence left behind by the serial killer. Meanwhile, tensions rise within the police department, and Kreizler takes Moore (Luke Evans), Sara, Marcus (Douglas Smith), and Lucius (Matthew Shear) to Delmonico’s in New York and informs them they are going to be working together as a team to catch the killer.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Caleb Carr, The Alienist premiered last Monday to strong reviews. Watch the clip above to find out what Kreizler suggests must be done to “prevent the murder of more children.”
The Alienist airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
