The two, along with Sara Rue, will reprise their roles on the NBC sitcom
More familiar faces are returning to Will & Grace to round out its comeback season.
NBC announced Thursday that Alec Baldwin will return as Malcolm Widmark, a secret agent who had a romance with Karen Walked (Megan Mullally). Blythe Danner will reprise her role as Marilyn Truman, Will’s (Eric McCormack) mom. Both Baldwin and Danner were nominated for Emmys for their roles in the show’s original run.
Also returning to guest star is Sara Rue (Mom, Bones) as Grace’s (Debra Messing) sister Joyce. Mary McCormack (Angie Tribeca) and Robert Klein (The Mysteries of Laura) are also set to make guest appearances in undisclosed roles.
The Will & Grace revival has been met with fanfare and critical acclaim, including recent Golden Globe nominations for Best TV Series – Musical or Comedy and Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy for Eric McCormack.
Baldwin, Danner, and Rue join recent guest stars including Molly Shannon, Minnie Driver, Harry Connick Jr., and Megan Mullally’s husband, Nick Offerman. Last week, NBC announced Jennifer Lopez will also return to the comedy, this time playing two roles: herself, as well as her character from NBC’s police drama Shades of Blue.
Will & Grace airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
