Bad news for The Tick (Peter Serafinowicz) and Arthur (Griffin Newman), but The Terror is very much alive.
The first six episodes of The Tick, Amazon’s superhero spoof series, saw our titular true-blue hero believing the supervillain (Jackie Earle Haley) wasn’t dead like most thought. The character appeared in various flashbacks, but as shown in EW’s exclusive trailer for the back half of season 1, The Terror is officially back.
It’s “Terror 2.0.” So cue The Tick assembling his own Avengers squad: Overkill (Scott Speiser), Tinfoil Kevin (Devin Ratray), Superian (Brendan Hines), Midnight (voiced by Townsend Coleman), Dangerboat (voiced by Alan Tudyk), and Dot (Valorie Curry).
Miss Lint (Yara Martinez) is also back to make some sparks fly, while The Terror brings mayhem across the city. The Tick also becomes a human missile, Overkill reunites with his favored weapon (a gun named Shakira — no judgment), and our hero seems very convinced that they’ll all have to fight mummies at some point.
The first half of The Tick season 1 debuted on Amazon Prime Video on Aug. 25. New episodes will now drop on Feb. 23. Watch the trailer and see the new key art above.
