One Day at a Time is bringing some joy into 2018.
Netflix has released the first trailer for the upcoming second season of the series, which is a reimagining of Normal Lear’s classic sitcom. Lear is also an executive producer on the new series, which follows three generations of a Cuban-American family cohabitating and figuring out this thing we call life. Justina Machado plays Penelope, a newly single mother and military veteran who’s raising her two kids with the help of the mother (Rita Moreno).
Season 2 will consist of 13 30-minute episodes that will be released on Netflix Jan. 26. But for now, you can watch the trailer above, which shows Penelope’s kids facing everything from bullies to new relationships. Meanwhile, it appears that Penelope is ready to get back in the dating game based on the “stallion” she brings home at the end of the trailer.
Yep, things are about to get very interesting for this family.
