The show that put a bird on it will soon put a pin in it.

In just a few short months, Portlandia will drift into sketch comedy heaven, but first, it will unveil a final batch of artisanal episodes. In the 10-episode season 8, Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein’s Portland-set hipster satire will welcome back a few old faves (Ed Begley Jr., Jeff Goldblum, Natasha Lyonne, Kyle MacLachlan, and Kumail Nanjiani) as well as some new faces (Rachel Bloom, Aidy Bryant, Terry Crews, Rashida Jones, and Tracee Ellis Ross). Above, you can check out the first trailer for the end of Portlandia, in which feminist bookstore owners Candace and Toni contemplate opening a women’s health clinic despite their lack of medical experience — and Toni expresses her anger through a silent scream that must be heard to be believed. Also, Spyke tells Iris that he’s considering reviving his band Riot Spray. Also also, some grisly ax work and a dancing mayor!

Season 8 kicks off Jan. 18 at 10 p.m. on IFC.
