After two years out of The Daily Show anchor chair, it feels like we’ve been waiting forever for Jon Stewart’s return to television. It must feel that way to him as well, because in a teaser for his HBO comedy benefit, his reflection elicits a, “F—k, I got old!”

Stewart will headline Night of Too Many Stars, a fundraiser for Robert Smigel’s NEXT for AUTISM charity, to be broadcast live by HBO from Madison Square Garden in New York City. The teaser features Stewart, clearly rusty from being away from the TV business for so long, talking to the wrong camera, ad-libbing, and receiving less-than-constructive feedback from the director: “Can you do something about the beard?”

“No, no. You can’t make me. It’s my friend.” he replies.

In addition to his stand-up performance at the benefit, his first in 21 years, Stewart has other stand-up projects in the works at HBONight of Too Many Stars airs Nov. 18 on HBO, Stewart’s beard pending.
