Ellen DeGeneres opened Tuesday’s episode — taped Monday — of The Ellen Show with a few words about the Las Vegas attack and a beautiful montage highlighting some of her previous heroic guests.

“I don’t know about you, but I feel sad, I feel anxious, I feel helpless,” said the daytime TV host. “It’s very easy to lose hope, but we cannot do that. I always say that there’s a lot more good in the world than there is bad, and I continue to believe that. And that is what we have to focus on.”

She then let a video montage spanning almost six minutes in length showcase some of the inspirational people that have visited the show over the past 15 seasons. From simple acts such as returning a wallet or picking up a check to incredible feats like aiding kids off a burning bus, the clip was meant to serve as a reminder of all the people that do good.

DeGeneres concluded with a simple message: “The world is full of amazing people. Good will always win. Love will always win.”
