Big Mouth makes puberty hilarious
'There is a dancing tampon musical number that is the greatest thing I've seen on TV in recent memory,' 'Bingeworthy' host Jessica Shaw says
In the bottomless slew of fall TV premieres, what is the show everyone should be watching? According to Bingeworthy hosts Jessica Shaw and Touré, it’s Big Mouth, the pubescent animated comedy on Netflix.
“It is so funny, it is so smart,” says Touré, who admits he has watched the whole season three times. “The way they are dealing with these kids who are dealing with puberty.”
“It is honestly one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen in my life,” Shaw gushes. “I think every guy in the world should just watch the first episode and you will know that you’re hooked into this.” Same goes for women and episode two, which features a dancing tampon musical number Shaw calls “the greatest thing I’ve seen on TV in recent memory.”
Nick Kroll and Jessi Klein created the animated series about teenagers wrestling with puberty (and “hormone monsters”), and it features a cast of all-star comedy voices like Maya Rudolph and John Mulaney. See what other jokes from Big Mouth has the Bingeworthy hosts in stitches and catch the first season streaming on Netflix now.
