Arrow villain Prometheus to appear in four-way crossover
But Josh Segarra won't be returning, so who's under that mask?!
Prometheus lives! Well, sort of!
EW has confirmed that the Arrow villain will appear in the four-way crossover between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, but he’s the Prometheus from Earth-X, otherwise known as Prometheus-X.
As previously reported, the four-way crossover is called “Crisis on Earth-X,’ and features a number of our heroes-turned-villains from Earth-X, an alternate earth in which the Nazis won WWII. As revealed in the comic art for the crossover, where Prometheus-X was first teased, we’ll also see Dark Arrow, Dark Flash, and Overgirl — the latter of which Melissa Benoist was already set to voice in the upcoming animated series Freedom Fighters: The Ray, which takes place on Earth-X. (The Ray, by the way, will be brought to life during the crossover by Russell Tovey, who will voice the character in the animated series.)
Alas, there are no plans for Josh Segarra to return as Prometheus, which raises the question: Who is under that mask? Our theory: Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne). During season 5, Arrow actually intimated that Quentin could be under the mask at one point, with Quentin himself believing he could’ve committed these crimes while blacked out. In the end, however, it was a set-up by Segarra’s Adrian Chase. Another theory: It could be Roy, as Colton Haynes recently tweeted Roy would soon return. (h/t Chancellor Agard)
The four-way crossover will air across two nights — Monday, Nov. 27 and Tuesday, Nov. 28 — on The CW. For this crossover event, Arrow will air on a special night Monday at 9 p.m. ET following Supergirl, while the other DC shows will remain in their regularly scheduled time periods.
