Meghan McCain will soon be enjoying a new view.

The former Fox News contributor is joining the cast of The View, EW has learned.

The news comes just one week after McCain abruptly exited Fox News’ Outnumbered. According to Variety, which first reported the news, McCain will join Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Paula Faris, and Sunny Hostin on the panel sometime in early October.

McCain is the daughter of Senator John McCain and has often drawn attention for her liberal stances on some social issues alongside her self-avowal as a Republican. She has previously worked for the Pivot network and acted as a contributor for MSNBC. McCain has been outspoken against President Trump, particularly in regards to his attacks against her father.

Today, she tweeted, “What more must my family be put through right now? This is abhorrent,” in response to reports that Trump has physically mocked her father in private.

McCain is replacing the most recent panelist to exit the daytime talk show, Jedediah Bila. Bila, and now McCain, were selected to bring a more conservative voice to the panel, which ABC has worked to find since the departure of Elisabeth Hasselbeck in 2013.
