The new season adds Ashley Judd and Keke Palmer to the cast
“Who says there are no friends in espionage?” Ashley Judd asks coyly in the exclusive season 2 trailer of Berlin Station above.
Despite menacing lines like “Europe is in chaos” and “Germany will rise” — as well as an Alt-Right party leader barking to a massive crowd — the new installment appears to be filled with zip and sass. And not just because of the addition of Judd’s new Chief of Station BB Yates and Keke Palmer as case officer April Lewis.
The clip also includes the messages “SHRED THE TRUTH” and “SELL THE LIES,” all part of the series showing a nation in the thick of a deepening New World Order.
The show takes on a particularly eerie quality given current political happenings in Germany. The country has seen a rise in popularity of an alt-right party, and, in a recent parliament election, the far-right Alternative for Germany party placed third, garnering 12.6 percent of the vote.
Berlin Station returns with a two-episode premiere on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 9 p.m. on EPIX.
