In today’s good news: Starting in October, you’ll be able to stream every episode of the super strange, prematurely canceled, late ’80s sitcom ALF on the STARZ app.
ALF followed the lives of the suburban Tanner family (no, not those Tanners), whose lives were completely uprooted when a snarky extraterrestrial named ALF — an acronym for Alien Life Form — crash-landed into their garage.
The show — which starred Max Wright, Anne Schedeen, Andrea Elson, and Benji Gregory as the Tanner family and co-creator Paul Fusco as the titular character’s puppeteer — was notably weird, but it was beloved by many. Although don’t forget about that ambiguous ending which left ALF’s fate in the hands of the not-so-nice government. Don’t worry, there was a movie to make up for the public outcry.
ALF ran for four seasons and released just over 100 episodes before it was canceled in 1990 and is set to be released on the STARZ app starting October 1.
Also coming to the app on October 1 is Almost Famous, Open Season, Rosemary’s Baby, Big Fat Liar, and X-Men.
