Full House cast looks back in heartwarming 30th anniversary video

The Tanners and Co. are celebrating 30 years of Full House.

After the third season of spin-off Fuller House debuted on Netflix Friday, the streaming service released a sweet video featuring the cast reminiscing about their time on the show.

“This is something that has shaped my entire life,” Jodie Sweetin says, while Bob Saget calls the experience “a gift.”

Full House originally ran for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995 on ABC. Creator Jeff Franklin then revived the franchise with Fuller House, which follows the two oldest Tanner girls — DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) and Stephanie (Sweetin) — all grown up, living in the titular house with Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber).

In the video, star John Stamos says, “People have related more and more to this how every year that it’s been on. We were like the first modern family, the new normal.”

Franklin echoed that sentiment in a recent interview with EW, adding that the series has been so successful because it’s “a show that makes people feel good.” “Nowadays, probably more than ever, it’s a good thing to be able to forget about the world’s problems and come visit the Tanners and the Fullers where it’s a sunnier, happier vibe,” he said. “It’s not sarcastic, it’s not cynical, it’s not snarky. It’s good-natured fun.”
