Game of Thrones final season: Emilia Clarke going true blonde for first time
For filming the final season of Game of Thrones, star Emilia Clarke is embracing her inner Targaryen.
The English actress, who normally has dark brown hair, has played Daenerys under a carefully manicured “Khaleesi Wig” on the series for seven seasons (a wig expertly maintained by GoT‘s six-time Emmy-nominated hairstyling team). But while preparing to shoot the HBO sensation’s final episodes, Clarke has finally opted for a full blonde dye job.
Unless the Mother of Dragons gets a much shorter haircut in the season 8 premiere to ready for her climactic face off against the Night King, however, we suspect the actresses will still sport a wig (or at least plenty of extensions) on the show itself.
