General Hospital: Here's a first look at Steve Burton's return
Steve Burton, is that really you?
EW has obtained an exclusive clip from the actor’s much-anticipated return Tuesday on General Hospital. Two words: those eyes!
It’s not clear whether Burton will reprise his Emmy-winning role as Jason Morgan — a character that was taken over by Billy Miller after Burton left the ABC sudser in 2012. Right now, Burton will simply be down as Patient 6, a hoodie-wearing stranger in a Russian clinic for reconstructive surgery.
Burton’s first reveal will air at the end of Tuesday’s episode.
After leaving GH, Burton went on to star on The Young and the Restless. He left that show in December.
Last month, executive producer Frank Valentini told TV Line that “there is almost nobody who won’t be affected by [Burton’s] return. That whole paradigm — ‘Who’s the real Jason? How will people react to him?’ — I find to be very interesting, and it will be fun for the audience.”
Burton has told fans that he’ll be back on GH “for a while.” The show airs weekdays on ABC.
